Guacamole

Guacamole is a favorite among most households. It's so simple to make, but I have some picky eaters so I don't go crazy with the ingredients. I stick with the traditional ingredients and load up on all of those vitamins!

Guacamole

Taco Tuesday is a thing in our household, and that includes making some yummy Guacamole. I love to chop everything by hand and use a fork to smash all the ingredients until blended, creamy and still somewhat chunky. But, you can use any chopping and blending kitchen equipment you like, just have fun making it!

Guacamole

Prep-time: 10 minutes

Total-time: 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 large Hass Avocados, ripened (or 3-4 small avocados), pitted, and diced

  • 1 small garlic, minced

  • 1/2 cup red onion, diced

  • 1/2 bunch fresh cilantro, chopped

  • 2-4 limes (for flavor and to help the avocados from turning brown)

  • 4 roma tomatoes, cored and diced

  • salt

  • ground black pepper

  • ground garlic

Directions

  1. On a large cutting board, dice your onion and tomatoes and place them in a large bowl.

  2. Next, mince the garlic and add to the bowl. Then, add the diced avocados, cilantro, and juice from the limes. Use a fork, masher or spoon to blend and cream the ingredients together until you have a somewhat smooth consistency, while maintaining some small chunks from the veggies.

  3. Now add the seasoning, but this is totally up to how salty and spicy you like your guacamole to be. I usually add about 1-2 teaspoons of salt and pepper, and 1 teaspoon of garlic.

  4. Do a final stir and dig in! Make sure to share with everyone else, lol.
