Date "Snickers" Bars is a blend of nutritious and tasty dates with peanuts, a smooth peanut butter layer, and a chocolate fudge topping is something my family and I find addictive, lol. You can easily replace peanuts with almonds and peanut butter with any nut butter you prefer! It's an excellent snack or dessert.

These Date "Snickers" Bars became popular for a reason—they are simply amazing! When I noticed everyone sharing them, I knew I had to give them a try. They are genuinely tasty and, in my view, even better than an actual Snickers bar. Date "Snickers" Bars are incredibly easy to prepare, offering more nutritional benefits and significantly less sugar than a real Snickers. They make an excellent snack or dessert for anyone wanting something sweet in the afternoon or after dinner.
Date "Snickers" Bars
Yields: ~20-25 pieces
Prep-time: ~10 minutes
Chill-time: 30-60 minutes
Equipment: Baking sheet pan, parchment paper, cutting board, chopping knife, 1 medium mixing bowl (microwave safe), spoon,
Ingredients
22 pitted Medjool dates, sliced in half (but not all the way through)
3 tbsp peanut butter, creamy or any nut butter, warmed
2 tbsp real maple syrup
pinch of salt
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, vegan or sugar free
3 tbsp crushed unsalted peanuts, or unsalted almonds (topping)
2 tbsp peanut butter or nut butter
Directions
Line a baking sheet pan with parchment paper and set it side.
On a cutting board, slice each date nearly in half, being careful not to cut all the way through, as this will help keep the base of your bars intact. Next, arrange the dates on your prepared baking sheet, overlapping them. Use clean hands to flatten them as much as possible.
Place 3 tablespoons of peanut butter in a medium microwave-safe bowl and heat for approximately 30 seconds. After warming, stir the peanut butter and use a spoon to drizzle it over each opened date.
In the same bowl, warm the remaining peanut butter, chocolate, salt, and maple syrup. Microwave for two 20-second intervals, stirring after each one. This ensures the chocolate melts with the other ingredients and thickens. Then, stir in the vanilla extract.
The chocolate mixture should be thick and fudgy, which is ideal. With clean hands, take portions of the fudge and press it over the dates until they are completely covered.
Sprinkle the chopped peanuts over the chocolate.
Freeze for about 30-60 minutes to firm up the bars.
Once the bars have firm, use the knife to cut the bars into pieces. Place in a airtight container and keep in the fridge for about 4-5 days. Enjoy!
