During the month of February, my go to Valentine treats are my Chocolate Peanut Butter Hearts. They require only a few ingredients that you probably already have in your pantry. All you need to do is place everything in one pot, and stir as everything melts together. You can use any heart shape mold, I actually found mine at Good Will and has worked out so well. Top these beauties with your favorite topping and voila. Happy Valentine's Day!

Directions

  1. In a medium sauce pan, on medium-high heat, add your chocolate, coconut oil, peanut butter and vanilla.

  2. Begin stirring as the chocolate starts to melt, reduce the heat to medium. Stop stirring and let the chocolate start to melt even more, for about 2-3 minutes. Then, as the chocolate continues to melt start stirring occasionally and begin blending the ingredients. This should take about 10 minutes to melt and blend all the ingredients together.

  3. While your chocolate mixture is melting, lightly grease your heart mold(s) with coconut oil and set aside.

  4. Once your chocolate mixture has fully melted and blended, use a spoon to scoop out about a teaspoon and carefully pour into each of your hearts. I like to fill them to the brim, but it's up to you how thick you want your chocolates to be.

  5. Once all of your molds are filled with your chocolate mixture, lightly tap the mold on the counter 1-2 times, this helps remove any air bubbles.

  6. Sprinkle your favorite holiday toppings and then place your mold(s) in the freezer on a flat surface.

  7. Freeze for at least 3 hours or overnight.

  8. To remove your chocolate hearts, depending on what type of mold you have, use a thin sharp knife to release them.

  9. Since we did not temper the chocolate, these will melt, so I recommend, after you release them from their mold, to eat them soon afterwards. These will keep in the freezer for 1-2 months.

  10. STORAGE: I like to remove all the chocolate hearts after they've hardened and place them in a freezer bag.

  11. Enjoy!
