King Arthur Classes
Burlington, WA
King Arthur has only two class locations in the US. Their main location, Vermont and the second is in Burlington, WA. Living not too far from the Burlington location, I have taken a few classes to help me better understand the art of baking and bread making.
Baking Class
I have never taken any culinary courses, I have a degree in English Literature. But after having kids, I felt my lack of knowledge of cooking and baking was unacceptable, and the fact my oldest is a picky eater. Teaching myself, and gaining inspiration and help from my husband and friends along the way, I was pleased to learn that my home state has a King Arthur baking school nearby! Baking wasn't something I ever thought I would fall in love with, but the more I learn about the science, and the knowledge the more I appreciate it!
Teaching kids at any age
What I love about the King Arthur classes is the knowledge behind the 'Why'. If you're like me, baking and cooking can seem overwhelming, but after learning the 'Why's' to what we do when we bake or cook something, has relieved so much of the overwhelmingness. It's much easier to teach my kids how to bake.
